The OECD’s Clean Energy Finance & Investment Policy Review
The OECD’s Clean Energy Finance and Investment Mobilization (CEFIM) Program supports key emerging economies to strengthen their policy frameworks in the aim of scaling up finance and investment in renewable energy and energy efficiency. OECD commenced the program in 2020 with the Ministry of Industry & Trade as the implementation partner. A key component of the CEFIM program is the Clean Energy Finance & Investment Policy Review (‘the review’) which will highlight the successes Viet Nam has had in catalyzing finance and investment in the pursuit of its clean energy goals and the policy drivers that have enabled it.
The review will also provide practical recommendations on policy, regulation, and financial mechanisms that could further strengthen the clean energy investment and finance environment in support of government targets. The OECD will be undertaking review consultations with the government and private sector in the first two weeks of March. We will also be convening a group dialogue session with development partners to discuss the initial findings of the review, clean energy sector challenges, and programmatic priorities. The remote session will be held on Friday 12th March 2021 between 15:00-17:00, we hope to be able to welcome representatives from your organization.
Please confirm your organization’s participation, and the details of your nominated representatives to Ms. Tran Hoang Anh (hoanganh.tran@vietse.vn) via email. An email will be sent before the date with the detailed session agenda and a link to connect to the call.
Any questions should be sent to Mr. Brendan Coleman (Brendan.coleman@oecd.org) or our local CEFIM representatives Ms. Ngo Thi To Nhien (nhien.ngo@vietse.vn) and Ms. Tran Hoang Anh (hoanganh.tran@vietse.vn).
