This Dialogue is organized by the National Economics University as part of the project “Enhancing Bankability in Clean Energy Investment in Vietnam“, developed by the Power & Energy Working Group (PEWG) under the Vietnam Business Forum (VBF). The project is funded by the Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet (GEAPP) and jointly implemented by the National Economics University, The Asia Foundation (TAF), and Pacific Rim Investment and Management Company (PRIM).

The key output of the project is the report “Made-in-Vietnam Energy Plan 4.0” (MVEP 4.0) – a strategic document offering a comprehensive approach to Vietnam’s energy transition through a long-term vision, medium-term policy framework, and short-term solutions. The report emphasizes measures to enhance national competitiveness in attracting investment in clean energy, with a particular focus on removing administrative and legal barriers to accelerate the development of a reliable, low-emission, and cost-effective power system.

The Dialogue serves as an occasion to present the research findings and marks the concluding event of the project, aiming to foster long-term collaboration between the public and private sectors in Vietnam’s energy transition. The event will feature in-depth discussions, multi-stakeholder dialogue, and partnership-building activities to address key issues surrounding the energy transition. Participants will include representatives from government agencies, private sector enterprises, experts from relevant research institutes and universities, as well as civil society organizations.
