The Asian Development Bank (ADB), in collaboration with Vinfast and partnership with Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) is organizing a workshop titled “Lithium-ion Battery (LiB) Battery Supply Chain Diversification, Repurposing, and Job Creation Opportunities in Vietnam” on August 23, 2024, in Hanoi. The workshop aims to share inputs from different stakeholders to collectively catalyze and accelerate EV battery development in Vietnam.

The workshop will not only provide attendees insights from industry leaders and policy makers but also propose strategies for repurposing and recycling batteries and explore job creation opportunities in the EV sector. Additionally, it will serve as a forum for collaborative discussions on enhancing the EV battery supply chain among state agencies, financial institutions, associations, and businesses.
