Consultation workshop for establishing Vietnam Centre of Excellence for Offshore Wind
Viet Nam is poised as a market to play a key role in the expansion of offshore wind (OSW) in South-East Asia, with an updated draft Power Development Plan 8 (PDP8) target of 6 Gigawatts (GW) to be installed by 2030. To support this commitment, the Government of Viet Nam requested the Government of the United Kingdom to set-up a Centre of Excellence for Offshore Wind (CoE).
The CoE will be established as a collaborative model between industry, government, and others has been identified by several key stakeholders as important in accelerating local learning and long-term development of the offshore wind sector in Viet Nam. This work is aligned with the objectives of the Just Energy Transition Partnership in Viet Nam.
To achieve the objectives of the CoE, British Embassy Hanoi and The Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) would like to invite you to a consultation workshop to discuss this initiative. The details of this event are as follows:
