The workshop will take place on 30 September in Hanoi. It will share findings of study on potential South-South cooperation on bioenergy development for Viet Nam, identify key activities for implementation plan and; discuss further steps for completing the final report.

The event will be co-chaired by GIZ and the Electricity and Renewable Energy Authority (EREA) of the Ministry of Industry and Trade. It is a part of the Climate Protection through Sustainable Bioenergy Markets in Viet Nam project (BEM), which is under the GIZ Energy Support Programme. BEM is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection (BMUV) through the International Climate Initiative (IKI).

The South – South cooperation is a rising solution to connect countries that have similar challenges and opportunities through sharing knowledge, skills, expertise and resources to meet their development goals through concerted efforts.
