The Vietnam Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT), Ministry of Transport (MoT) and World Bank Group (WBG) are coordinating to conduct a study titled “E-Mobility in Vietnam: National E-Mobility Roadmap and Deployment Strategies in a Selected City”. The key outcomes of the study are expected to facilitate the E-Mobility uptake in Vietnam,  supporting to achieve national green mobility strategies in transport sector and development of related industries in the E-Mobility ecosystem including electric vehicle manufacturing, batteries, grid digitalization and vehicle-to-grid integration. It will promote the synergy between energy and transport sectors in the decarbonization process and decouple transport development from dependency to imported fuel, aiming to facilitate Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions reduction as part of its Paris Agreement commitment.

You are cordially invited to the 1^st Technical Workshop of the study held at 8:30am-11:30am (UTC+7) on July 28, 2021 (Hanoi time), which provides introduction of the project and  approach, presentation of international case studies on E-Mobility development, preliminary findings on policy gap analysis for Vietnam in promoting E-Mobility. The workshop will also seek input from  participants on development scenarios and next steps. The event is co-hosted by the MoIT, MoT and WBG.
