workshop on How global cost trends for offshore wind translate to Vietnam?
The energy transition in Vietnam is gaining momentum with the upcoming Power Development Plan 8. This plan sets out a roadmap for the green and sustainable transition of the power sector toward the goal of net-zero emissions by 2050 as announced by the Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh at COP26. The plan underscores the important role of renewable energy in the power sector development and targets 7-8 GW offshore wind energy by 2030.
Denmark has been in close cooperation with Vietnam in the energy area for many years. Being world leading country in offshore wind development, Denmark is working with Vietnam to spur a robust and cost-efficient offshore wind sector in Vietnam through the Danish Energy Partnership Programme 2021-2025 (DEPP III).
As part of DEPP III and in connection with the Launch of the Vietnam Energy Outlook Report 2021 taking place in the morning 2 June 2022, the Danish Embassy and the Danish Energy Agency have the pleasure of inviting you to join the workshop “How global cost trends for offshore wind translate to Vietnam?”.
