Regional Workshop on Accelerating Renewable Energy Investment in South East Asia
To support the development of renewable energy and further increase of investment levels in the ASEAN region, the IRENA and the ACE will organise a workshop in Da Nang, Vietnam to examine the current financing landscape, identify barriers and solutions.
To support the development of renewable energy and further increase of investment levels in the ASEAN region, the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) and the ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE) will organise a workshop in Da Nang, Vietnam on 20-21 May 2019 to examine the current financing landscape, identify key barriers and explore how innovative finance and risk mitigation solutions can serve to attract more private investment into the region.
By bringing together key decision makers and leaders from governments, industry, financial institutions and other key stakeholders from the region and beyond, the first day of the event will focus on exploring the renewable energy investment landscape, outlook and financial risk mitigation with recent examples and experiences at the country-level. On the second day, there will be an introduction to IRENA’s project facilitation tools. The role of public finance, the capital markets and green bonds and green sukuks with lessons learned from the region and beyond will also be explored.
